After School Program for Elementary Kids
We are intentionally crafting a space that will support kids at Dillsburg BIC.
We want to keep the adult to child ratio low (1:4), and many of our volunteers are retired educators themselves! Moreover, all of our adults will have their clearances, training on trauma-informed practices, and training on human trafficking. The goal, too, is to have consistent adults present each week so that kids can grow relationships with caring adults, and hopefully grow relationships with peers.
Further, we are being conscientious about COVID-19 restrictions and will be following what NYCSD is doing.
While the outreach is coming from the church, the goal is not indoctrination; rather, service, heart, and community are the reigning goals.

Kids will enjoy games, snacks, activities, spiritual conversations, and homework help. We are hoping to make transportation available if we can get it worked out with the school district.
