Jim grew up on the grounds of a Bible Camp his parents operated near Scranton, PA. He attended Houghton College, then University of Oregon Graduate School during which time he married Faithe. For several years he taught therapeutic recreation at Houghton College.
In 1988 he responded to God's call to full time ministry and began study at Evangelical School of Theology while serving as part time Associate Pastor of the Dillsburg BIC Church. He became the full time Pastor in 1991.
Jim has been married to Faithe since 1979 and they have three daughters, Naomi, Rachel and Grace.
In his free time, Jim enjoys basketball, hiking and reading.

Associate Pastor Jean Thau
|

Jean was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania but spent most of her childhood and adult life in Baltimore, Maryland. For twenty-seven years she worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital in various positions, but for a number of years served as Assistant to the President and later as Coordinator for Patient Education and Support Services for transplant patients. After the death of her husband in 1999, she and her youngest daughter, Amanda, moved to Dillsburg, Pennsylvania to be near her parents.
In 2000, Jean served as Administrative Assistant to the General Secretary of the Brethren in Christ denomination. During this time she felt God’s call to ministry and began attending seminary at Myerstown Evangelical School of Theology working toward a Masters of Divinity degree. In August 2004 Jean joined the Dillsburg Brethren in Christ ministry staff as Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Administration.
Jean is the mother of four children—Cheryl, Rick, Jamey and Amanda—and grandmother to five—George, Jordan, Dylan, Bradley & Isabella.

Youth
Group Director Jeff Conrady
|

Jeff graduated from Messiah College in
1985 and pursued a career as a
technology geek with IBM for 15 years
before following God’s call into other
technology pursuits in 1999. At
Messiah, he met and married the love of
his life, Lois, and they have spent
their 20+ years of marriage raising four
wonderful children. Jeff began his
involvement with youth at Dillsburg as a
Sunday School teacher and Kids Club
volunteer several years ago and is
delighted to follow God’s call toward
ministry by serving in his current
position as Youth Group Director. Jeff
enjoys cooking, football, volleyball,
music, and most things electronic!

Pastoral Intern Nathan Stonge
|
|
Nathan grew up in the Mechanicsburg area and graduated from Messiah College in 2001, as a music major and art minor. He first got involved in music and worship leading in his early teen years and filled various worship leading roles throughout high school and college. He also developed an interest in songwriting and recording. Nathan first met his wife, Brandie, at school in 4th grade. They later developed a deep friendship, sharing a love of art, music, ministry and people and were married in 2001. For the next 3 years, Nathan served as Worship Leader at the daughter church of DBIC – NewCreation – where his father, Jerry, is Pastor.
In 2005, Nathan stepped into a new job at the Brethren in Christ World Mission office as Assistant to the Executive Director and began his internship here at Dillsburg BIC.

Nina was born in
Western PA and moved to South Central PA
in late 1980 with her husband Wendell
after his graduation from college.
She has spent many
hours volunteering in the local school,
in the classroom and with the band-both
Middle School and High School; New Hope
Ministries, as a church representative
and a Board Member; and with the
Children’s Ministries at the church, in
the nursery and Kids’ Club.
Nina married
Wendell in 1980 and they have two sons,
Nathaniel and Curtis. In 2005 their son,
Nathan, married—they now have a
wonderful daughter-in-law also.
Nina enjoys reading, baking, woodworking
with her husband, playing volleyball,
doing Sudoko puzzles, and
collecting snowmen.
She enjoys helping
keep the office organized and is willing
to help people of the church.
