Welcome!
Are you looking for a place to feel like you belong, to grow your faith, to introduce your children to a real relationship with Jesus Christ?

At Dillsburg BIC, we go beyond "Sunday Morning" - we're a commmunity of believers where following Jesus is a lifestyle all week long. We strive to live our faith in a way that's genuine and joyful - through meaningful relationships with each other, with those who need our help in the community and with those who don't yet know Christ as their Savior.

At Dillsburg BIC, we're excited to challenge one another to grow in our faith, to discover the gifts God has given each of us to serve Him and others, and to encourage each other as we walk together, sharing life's joys and challenges. We are also strongly committed to missions; both supporting those who are already proclaiming the gospel in foreign lands and encouraging those who think they might be called to this life-changing work.

We'd love to welcome you whether you're here for the first time or your roots are deep into our fellowship already. We're walking together in love and in faith; and we'd love to link arms with you!

Our Purpose and Vision
Purpose Statement : To be a fellowship of believers who worship and obey God, love one another and go in the Holy Spirit's power to bring others to faith in Christ.

Ministry Priorities for the Dillsburg Brethren in Christ Church : As Brethren in Christ we believe that the essential functions of a church include Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, and Mission.
In Worship, we bring our whole-hearted devotion to God.
In Fellowship, we live out our deep commitment to love one another.
In Discipleship, we follow the call of Jesus to obey and teach all things commanded by him.
In Mission, we minister to human need as Jesus did and proclaim the gospel to all people.

These four functions afford a framework for the priorities of our church.

VISION 2012 : “Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38 NRSV)
A river of hope and healing through Spirit-led generosity in Dillsburg and partner communities around the world.

We will incarnate God’s generosity by:

1. A Generous Walk
We will seek a new congregational emphasis on listening, praying, waiting, and acting in step with the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

2. A Generous Welcome
We will intentionally extend a generous welcome to all people with an evident spirit of humility, kindness, compassion, and grace.

3. A Generous Witness
We will communicate the hope we have in Jesus to the people of Dillsburg and across cultures by building friendships with people who do not yet know Jesus, and by serving through specific projects of compassionate care.

4. Generous Worship
We will expand our perspectives on worship and invite the Holy Spirit to help us imagine ways to enable believers of different generations and diverse worship traditions to joyfully offer themselves to God.

We will share God’s generosity in service by:

1. Growing a vital healing prayer ministry, to offer hope and healing to wounded people in the church and community.

2. Calling and equipping people as they are gifted by God’s Spirit to lead the church forward in following Jesus Christ and in sharing the Gospel.

3. Providing a vibrant ministry in our community to children and youth. This includes the provision of necessary space in order to accommodate this growing ministry.

4. Collaborating with community organizations for service and outreach to the people of Dillsburg and the surrounding area.

5. Cultivating cross-cultural ministry partnerships in projects of compassionate care with communities of believers outside of our region where DBIC members will be involved.

6. Continuing to increase our financial support to mission and outreach ministries as led by the Holy Spirit.
